This whole blog idea has come about as a result of finding a Suzi Blu YouTube tutorial on art journaling. It inspired me to start my own journal and get back into creating (after a hiatus of about ten years).
I signed up to Suzi's online art school, and started by taking 'Petite Dolls Continuing', where were created some mixed-media magic in the form of a Marie Antoinette painting, a Day of the Dead painting, and a Rodeo Girl. I don't think it could have been any more enjoyable! I'd never done any mixed media before and it was a thrill to get my hands dirty (literally) and try so many new techniques.
Suzi's art school also has a forum where you can share your work and talk to other like-minded souls. They are such a supportive and helpful bunch and I've been blessed with meeting so many talented ladies from around the world.
Now I'm hooked on your adorable, quirky art lessons Suzi. So now I'm maken art, I'm maken art baby!

ReplyDeleteI know. I will forever be grateful to Suzi, her attitude towards creating, and her encouragement. Starting to create has made me a new person this year, and I can't get enough of it!
