Book review: Watercolor and ink
I came across this wonderful book a while ago and thought I should stop being selfish and share it with you.
If you like watercolor, and you like ink, then oh boy is this ever the book for you.
Painting with watercolor, pen & ink, by Claudia Nice, is full of techniques and handy hints to achieve a huge range of textures, effects, portrayals of light, and shading.
Here are a couple of examples where she shows you how to achieve different effects by pushing things into the watercolor (I'm currently experimenting with salt - verdict...sea salt is too sticky and wet to really work):
I highly recommend this book, I'd go as far as to give it 5 stars! (Four stars for the book and the last star purely because Claudia is one of my favorite names and Nice is one of my favorite places). ;o)

Oh dude, that looks good.....can I drool over that one weekend. Promise I'll give it back and not "accidentally" hide it like I did your pattern book ; )
ReplyDeleteI love to watch Bob Ross paint. I have a great paint set & when my oldest daughter moves out, I told her I was turning her room into my art studio so I can start painting again!!
