Ice cream card

For a friend's birthday tomorrow I made a little birthday card. With Spring just around the corner I'm feeling a need for bright colours and ice cream and things reminiscent of warmer weather. Plus I found some cute coloured alphabet beads in the craft store. ;o)
I finally used my ice-cream cone punch, and found some coloured raffia I had lying around (although it just didn't want to stay tied until I put down some serious amounts of glue!

  1. It's the last day of the challenge and I'm so glad I found your blog! You are very talented! I will subscribe and follow.
I love this card! I use pastel primarily, or oil. I've never been able to master watercolor but I may give it another try.
    Thanks!

I've always been too scared to even attempt oil! I'd love to see some of your work, have you considered posting any on your blog?

  7. Just popped in to see how you're doing with your sketchbook project entries, great seeing how you're getting around the flimsy paper issue :> I ended up rebinding mine, hoping to post pics soon in case anyone else is thinking of doing that....cute card!

  8. Your ice cream card is just amazing. I just started to create card art. I am painting through synesthesia which makes me see colors when I hear names and numbers. These colors I transform in paintings. Colors are my life.

  9. Wow, I've just been to visit your site (and I admit, to look up synesthesia). Your work is amazing, I had no idea such a condition existed and while I'm not sure how easy it is to live with you have certainly channeled it into some incredible artworks.
