Illustration Friday: Arrrtificial

This week's theme for Illustration Friday is 'Artificial', or in Pirate speak 'Arrrtificial'.

Captain Salty quite liked his artificial extremities, they certainly added to his pirate cred.

Done using markers, in my Sketchbook Project journal.

  3. Love it, Jessica! Thanks for the blog comment! I found you on twitter, too! I've started a twitter list of all the sketchbook project artists. I don't have many so far, but let me know if your "friends" with any and I'll add them. I think I'm getting my sketchbook today! I'm so excited! I've been practicing gesso-ing paper napkins into a different sketchbook.

  4. Love the pirate Jessica. I was just wearing a pirate hat today for VBS at our church! I love your site and am waiting for my own Sketchbook to arrive.(Yeah) Writing and art are my two competing loves.

  5. Hi Sara,

That is really cool that you are going to stick the napkins in. You could even do a guest series, ask other people to send you napkins. :) I'm still trying to work out how to use Twitter lists effectively, I started one for Canberra participants too.

  6. Hi Tanya,

There just aren't enough excuses in every day life to wear pirate hats, in my opinion!

Yay for joining the sketchbook project! Waiting for it to arrive, and then getting the courage up to make that first mark in the clean book are the hardest parts!
