It looks like it is just one big page of stamps, until you go to turn the page.
I used Mod Podge to glue the stamps down. I thought it would remain a bit sticky but it's actually been really good. The page is quite sturdy too, thanks to the stamps and glue.
Then I drew a plane outline and cut it out (which was difficult because the page is now very thick) and stuck the cut out portion on the next page. I painted the opposite page just for a bit of colour, and purposefully put the paint on for a rough finish.

Oh I Love this!
ReplyDeleteThanks Shalimma! I'm thinking I should take a photo with the stamp page lifted a little so you can really see the window. What do you think?
ReplyDeleteLove how you did this!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kim!
ReplyDeleteWow, that's an awesome couple pages! I did something kind of similar in a book for the 1001 Journals project a while back. Check it out here and here if you like.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tim, I checked out your pages on Flickr, they are fantastic! And thanks for telling me about 1001 journals, I've started my own and signed up to another one that is in Canberra. I'm now currently participating in no less than FOUR journal projects....I have no self control when it comes to signing up apparently. ;o)
ReplyDeleteHahaha! I know the feeling...and I haven't even told you about moly_x: the international sketchbook exchange! This is the most amazing sketchbook project I've ever been a part of. Check it out! (And check the moly_x_portraits2 blog to see the one I'm currently involved in.)
