Sketchbook Project: Best of Brooklyn

Brooklyn is one of my favourite places, and last time I was there I happened to have a Lomo Medium Format camera with me to snap a few of my favourite things.

I thought it was appropriate to stick them into my book seeing as my Sketchbook Project theme is 'This is not a sketchbook'.
Whenever we see the Brooklyn bridge in a movie, tv show, magazine I always excitedly point and exclaim 'there's my bridge, there's my bridge' because I have, in fact, claimed it as my own. On the opposite page we have Terrace Bagels...only the best cinnamon raisin bagels in the world!!

  2. I don't know... the super cinnamon bagels at the Silverbow bakery in Juneau have to be eaten to be believed...and the honey oat nut bagel with walnut cream cheese at Lulu's in Fairbanks, heaven....or the cinnamon raisin at the Muffin Shop in the Upper West Side....never could get more than a block with that tasty morsel intact. Damn....I want a bagel!!

  4. Yummmmmo! NYC is a special place. I can taste the Central Park bagels even as I type. Lots of chunky salt on top, but the squirrels have had enough of them - fussy with choice I suppose.

Great layout, love the intersecting circles.

    Cheers,

    Cindy

  7. As a lifelong resident of Brooklyn, I'm so happy to see someone else shares my enthusiasm.

I came here via the post about the Moleskine test. Thank you so much for that. It's my first sketchbook project and I was happy to see others found the paper so thin as well.

  8. Hi Carol,

My family used to live in Brooklyn (before moving upstate) so I've spent many summers and Christmases there growing up, and feel like a Brooklyn resident at heart...even though I currently live half a world away in Canberra Australia.
