Crafternoon

We had another crafternoon today. Couldn't have been a nicer day for it. Sun shining through the windows, roses, cake, tea, iced-vovos and mini cupcakes (thanks Sam) and a range of arty and crafty pursuits!

I was busy cutting up zines for the Canberra Zine Fair next month. I still have a few to go, but I feel better having made a start.

Sam was prepping a pretty amazing-looking canvas which you can follow the progress of on his blog Sanctum Sanctorum.

Emma was working the weaving loom like a pro. Can't wait to see the finished product! If you want to see some of Emma's amazing drawings and lino prints, check out her blog Sketching a face in the crowd.

Lisa was creating some amazing fashion illustration. Watch this girl, she's going to be the next big name in fashion design! :)

And poor Jonathan was studying.

We've decided that we are definitely going to have more regular crafternoons this year, and to push us to try new things we might even set themes. I'm thinking we can do the theme for an hour and then work on our own projects. We were tossing around ideas like a lino cutting week, botanical illustration, knitting etc. I can't wait!!

If you are in the Canberra area and interested in joining us for the next Crafternoon, drop me a line here or on Facebook, or Twitter (And don't forget you can also subscribe to the Brown Paper Bunny email)!
