Today's Inspired Doodles sketch prompt was 'Fox'. Given that I'm also doing a fashion illustration class at the moment, I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone. ;)
I used watercolor pencils and multiliners to sketch this at our monthly Comic Sketch-up today.
My boyfriend actually has a fox-fur hat somewhere. It doesn't have a head or tail though. His is more a tall, Russian fur hat.

Your illustration is wonderful! Sounds like a fun class. Great hat too. Happy PPF.
ReplyDeleteGreat hat
ReplyDeleteOoh la la!!! Where can I get a pair of shoes like that?? Love the foxy hot!
ReplyDeleteOops! That was supposed to be foxy hAt but actually foxy hot describes it too! :)
ReplyDeleteHa ha, too funny Jenn. I actually have a pair of shoes like that, but they are ballroom shoes with suede soles...so you can't really wear them outside. Now to find the hat...
ReplyDeleteCoooool Hat! I love this illustration. Very cute!!Love her shoes. My husband always wanted a racoon hat with the head and tail on it. Just like Daniel Boone.
ReplyDeleteVery cute...me too, love those shoes...
ReplyDeleteThat's so cute! Foxy looks adorable and I love her shoes. :)
ReplyDeleteI can see the fun you had with this illustration. Both the fox and shoes capture my attention. HAPPY PPF!
ReplyDeleteThat's funny. Love it!
ReplyDeleteTerrific illustration and loving that hat...lol Happy PPF, Annette x
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a kid there was an elderly lady at church who wore a hat like that. I was fascinated by it, and creeped out too. Last year my Mom found one in an antique store and gave it to me for Christmas as a joke.
ReplyDeleteLove your illustration.
Wonderful illustration style and love the fox ~ adds a bit of whimsy!
ReplyDeleteHappy PPF ~ namaste, Carol (Share the Creative Journey)
Wonderful fashion illustration and even better with the added foxy fun on her head!
ReplyDeleteI love the illustration but being a vegan and animal lover I am going with the notion that this is a live pet fox just perching on her head!
ReplyDeleteAwesome hat- so funny! And great figure too ;)
ReplyDeleteHappy PPF!

I used to have a fox fur Russian hat. probably the warmest hat in the world. unfortunatly I wore it to the point of it falling apart - but it was fabulous while it lasted. and I love that you went for a hat rather than a collar
ReplyDeleteThis is great. I hate to think of a fox hat (I'm with Pointy Pix), but it does look like the fox is just hanging out on her head, a fun companion (maybe a little annoying, she looks like she could be pleasantly exasperated with him) coming with her on her fancy evening out.
ReplyDeleteHappy PPF!
Love the hat! We have a family of foxes on our property right now, they are soooooo cute!Great illustration! Deb
ReplyDeleteI love your illustration, it's great! Enjoy your weekend.

Cutest accessory I've seen...heehee! Just don't wear it while visiting a farm :)
ReplyDeleteFun idea....love the colors!
great sketch! love the juxtaposition of the lady's very serious face and the fox's cheeky expression! He looks like he just came along and perched on her head!
ReplyDeleteIt's ok guys, he is just perched there to keep her head warm, but he's alive and well. Her little foxy friend. ;)
ReplyDeleteOh I love her hat! She's so pretty! I used to draw fashions when I was in highschool and wanted to go to fahsion design school. Wish I still had all those drawings!
ReplyDeleteGreat colour combo. Nice. *s*
ReplyDeleteLove the foxhat! (Have you seen that skit on youtube? It's really funny) I've always wanted to draw a woman with a fish on her head. Maybe one day soon...
ReplyDeleteI love the dress and shoes. The hat is fun too.
